I’ve just returned to the sunny climes of East Anglia after living in Devon for a few months. During my time in the West Country , it was very obvious that a lot of strong feeling existed in relation to the “annoying” and “thieving” pirates of many a seaside resort. I could certainly emphathise with the loss of chips and ice-creams to the adaptable and opportunistic gulls which plundered these delicacies from the unguarded and unsuspecting. However , I always managed to find humour in watching the behaviour of these birds and always found beauty in their aesthetics . So, I’ve posted a close-up of a Herring Gull in Salcombe , purely through admiration.
Scott does it again….Excellent capture, love it !!
