About

Hi,

My name is Scottie,

I grew up in “Estuary Essex”, I’ve travelled widely and now live in Suffolk. When I was growing up I found amazing wildlife in urban and suburban environments, but it was on the marshes around the Thames estuary that I fell in love with birds, a life long affliction I think!  😉

The infinite beauty and mind blowing designs in nature, not to mention it’s tenacity, are things that put a smile on my face everyday.

Thank you for taking the time to look at my blog!

    1. Hi Ivon,
Nice to meet you , and likewise, thank you! I recall reading in your blog , that you live or have lived in Alberta?
MY dad used to live in a place called Ekshaw , is that familiar to you?

  2. Thanks for visiting my blog Scottie. I see we have a mutual interest in photographing nature. I look forward to seeing what you’re finding out there.

    1. Hi Sue , likewise! Thank you.
I’m new to wordpress , so glad I’ve got involved , there are so many cool people and blogs out there.
It’s great reading about the birds and nature that people see in their neighbourhoods around the globe!.

  3. What a wonderful blog, and such lovely images you have! I’m so happy to meet you, a kindred spirit… Some of my happiest, loveliest moments were spent in Cornwall. I’ve always said I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to live there, one day.

    1. Cool, it’s great to meet you too! I’ve got a funny feeling that the weather might be better in Florida – maybe spend half the year in Cornwall and half in Florida 🙂

      1. Oh no…. I really do like the mist and clouds. 🙂 Although it’s getting nicer here, FINALLY. Finally!! But those times are scarce, sadly!

      1. I spent some time…hmm, perhaps 2 weeks?…in Cornwall, during 2 separate visits years ago, with friends. I fell in love with the area immediately, never wanted to leave.

      2. YAY! I’m afraid if I ever visited, I’d never leave. I can work from anywhere, and me and my work would find a little place and people would begin to wonder…. 🙂

  4. Thanks for visiting my blog. Be in touch. Browse through the category sections,
I feel you may find something of your interest.

    1. WOW!! Thanks Jazz!, blimey , but I don’t even know what that means! I keep seeing people get nominated for awards – then, there is a protocol to follow!? I’ve no idea? Is that what I have to do , or should I come and make you a cup of tea and buy some scones?! Thank you x

      1. Haha tea and scones sounds great! haha oh I should have added a link – sorry! you have to give 7 randoms facts about yourself, and nominated 5-15 other blogs as well – by posting allthis you are accepting the award! aha you’re very welcome – you deserve it! best wishes 🙂 x

  5. Hello Scottie! I visited England this time last year and feel in love with it, after I got out of the stuffiness of London:) Cornwall was my absolute favorite place to ever visit! I can’t wait to come back! I had such fun in Glastonbury as well. I understand your love of travel!

    1. Hi Paul, thanks mate , it’s very kind of you to think of me. But, I’ve opted myself out of awards (because I’m lazy!). I should put something on my blog to let people know! (sorry). I’ve also been neglecting blogland lately , so apologies if I’ve missed any posts from you , I will have to spend a couple of hours going around my favourite blogs to see what I’ve missed in my absence!
Thanks again, hope all is well
      Scott.

      1. Hey Scott, totally understand. The whole award thing is a bit odd, and it is pretty time consuming. Hope to see some new posts coming along soon…not a lot has been happening here either, but it is Carneval in a couple of weeks so things should start to get exciting soon.
        Best wishes, Paul

    1. Hi Samantha , nice to meet you and thank you so much for your kind words! 🙂 and thank you for sharing the recipes , I will be a regular visitor to your blog for sure (I’m so glad I found it!) 🙂

    1. Hi Julie! It’s very sweet of you to ask – yes I’m fine, I’ve been concentrating on my day job lately. I’m sure the creativity will flow again soon. x
